You can see us on the list of Nevada political parties here:

Details will be posted about how to register to vote as a member of the Whigs as soon as they become available.

Please join me in growing the party!

Second Wednesday is coming!

It's time again for our mid-week Meet-and-Greet. We will be meeting once again at the Beat in downtown Las Vegas on Wednesday, September 14 at 7:30PM. The Beat is located at the corner of Fremont and 6th Streets.

You may need quarters for the parking meters depending upon what block you are parked on. Check the back of the meter for its hours of operation!

Hope to see you there!

Fourth Saturday Meet and Greet for Las Vegas

It's coming up on Fourth Saturday again and we will have a Meet and Greet for the Las Vegas area.

Like before, it will be held at the Beat Coffeehouse located at the corner of Fremont and 6th Streets at 3PM on Saturday, Aug 27. Bring quarters for the parking meter ($1/hr, coins only.)

Mid-week Meet and Greet Wednesday, August 10th

There is almost no such thing as a weekend for working people in Las Vegas, the schedules are all over the map. That being the case, I am also going to have a regular Meet-and-Greet on the second Wednesday of each month.

The first one will be this Wednesday, August 12th at 7:30PM. Once again, we will be meeting at the Beat in downtown. The Beat is located at the corner of Fremont and 6th Streets.

I hope this fits the schedule better for those of you who couldn't make the Saturday meet.

Meet and Greet Confusion

Hi All!

I apparently don't know how to read a calendar. I have intended all along for the Meet-and-Greet to be on Saturday at 3PM. But I mistakenly thought that was the 31st. It is of course the 30th.

To avoid any problems caused by my mistake I will be at the Beat in downtown Las Vegas on both Saturday the 30th as intended, and on Sunday the 31st as posted mistakenly.

I hope to meet all of you in the Las Vegas area!

Meet and Greet being scheduled

Hi Everyone,

I am scheduling a meet-and-greet in the Las Vegas area for Saturday, July 31 at 3PM in downtown. I currently think the Beat would be a good place. I'll post a map on the website later this week.

Please let me know if this is a good time/place or if it should be changed.

There has been an increase in interest in the Whigs with the launch of our new national website ( and I want to take advantage of that. There are other develpments to go over as well.

A Great Reason To Celebrate

We live in the greatest country in the world! Can there be any better reason to celebrate?

Many people around the country will be writing about why our country is so wonderful and what it means to be an American and how much we have to be thankful for. Rather than duplicate all that effort, we will say "Happy Birthday America!" and probably agree with almost all of them.

We pledge to put forth the effort to continue the traditions and beliefs of Whigs in the past such as Henry Clay, Daniel Webster and Abraham Lincoln who have helped make America the great nation it is.

It's time to move forward

The time is ripe for a new party that believes in fiscal responsibility (as opposed to fiscal conservatism) while recognizing that government has the responsibility to provide an infrastructure for society combined with individual responsibility that results in true social justice. This is a party that would present ideas that moderates of both parties could support.

bin Laden is gone, but memories must live on

The Modern Whig Party is eternally grateful for the men and women of our intelligence and military services whose service has led to the strong and fair measure of justice for America with the death of Osama bin Laden.

We remember and honor those who lost their lives on 9-11-01 and those who have sacrificed for our nation since then in defense of freedom against terrorism. Let us never forget them and their loved ones.

This is not the end of terrorism but this is an example that with vigilance and dedication peace will be achieved and freedom will be sustained and uplifted.

Osama Bin Laden is Dead

President Obama has just announced that a U.S. ground team has killed Oasam Bin Laden and are in possesion of the body.

There are many things that can be said, but most of all at this time, we should say thank you to our armed forces and other operatives who have worked so long, and suffered so much, to bring this about.
